MediaSmarts is a Canadian not-for-profit charitable organization for digital and media literacy. Their vision is that children and youth have the critical thinking skills to engage with media as active and informed digital citizens. Yukon teachers have access to a number of licensed resources in Englsih and French including Passport to the Internet, MyWorld, The Web Awareness Workshop, Passeport pour Internet, MonUnivers, La série d’ateliers La Toile et les jeunes.

Passport to the Internet is a digital literacy tutorial for grade 4 to 8 students that uses simulations of this age group’s favourite online environments to teach them key skills relating to cyberbullying, safety, information authentication, online marketing and privacy.
MyWorld is a digital literacy tutorial for intermediate and secondary students and is comprised of four chapters where students use a variety of online tools and environments — a search engine, a social networking site, for example — to complete tasks that challenge their digital literacy skills.
The Web Awareness Workshop Series is a foundational, comprehensive program of six workshops to help K-12 teachers understand and address cyberbullying, online safety, information authentication and online marketing and privacy.

Passeport pour Internet, un tutoriel de maîtrise de Web, aide les élèves de la 4e année à la deuxième secondaire à développer une pensée critique face à leurs expériences en ligne afin qu’ils puissent utiliser le plein potentiel des sites Web et des outils offerts sur Internet de manière sécuritaire et éthique.
MonUnivers : Un tutoriel de littératie numérique destiné aux élèves du secondaire vise à enseigner aux étudiants des compétences essentielles en maîtrise du Web en simulant leurs environnements en ligne favoris. Ce tutoriel comporte quatre chapitres, chacun traitant d’un aspect particulier de la littératie numérique : recherche et authentification de l’information en ligne, gestion de sa réputation et de ses informations personnelles, gestion des relations personnelles en ligne et comportement éthique dans l’utilisation des médias numériques. La série d’ateliers La Toile et les jeunes comprend six ateliers de perfectionnement professionnel, qui offrent un programme complet pour aider les enseignants de la maternelle jusqu’à la fin du secondaire et les bibliothécaires à comprendre et à résoudre des problèmes comme la cyberintimidation, la sécurité en ligne, le marketing, la vie privée et l’authentification des informations.
